# tapid remove Source: https://tapid.dev/docs/commands/remove Remove declared dependencies and reinstall the remaining graph. ## Status Available starting with published v0.0.11. This page targets v0.0.13. Read [Compatibility](https://tapid.dev/docs-markdown/compatibility/content.md) for the supported subset and [Release changes](https://tapid.dev/docs-markdown/development/content.md) for the reviewed release changes. ## Syntax ```text tapid remove ... [OPTIONS] ``` ```bash $ tapid remove react $ tapid remove eslint typescript ``` Pass package names as declared in the manifest, without version requirements. For an npm alias, use its local declaration name. At least one package name is required. The command changes the manifest, resolves the remaining graph, and updates `tapid.lock` and managed `node_modules`. It retains compatible locked selections while resolving necessary changes, rather than only deleting a directory. Pre-commit failures restore prior state when rollback succeeds. Cleanup and recovery failures have separate outcomes; read [Troubleshooting](https://tapid.dev/docs-markdown/troubleshooting/content.md) before retrying. ## Shared options * `--project-dir PATH` selects the project, defaulting to the current directory. * `--workspace NAME` selects a workspace member by name. The root owns the lockfile and managed activation. See [Workspaces](https://tapid.dev/docs-markdown/workspaces/content.md) for member selection and local-link limits. * `--store-dir PATH` selects the verified store where applicable. * `--registry-fixture PATH` supplies local metadata for tests where applicable. * `--allow-unverified-registry-artifacts` permits the explicit online integrity exception where applicable. Resulting installs cannot use offline/frozen replay. Dependency lifecycle scripts are denied by default. Exact checked-in approvals can execute supported hooks on Linux ManagedTree. Read [Dependency scripts](https://tapid.dev/docs-markdown/dependency-scripts/content.md) before approving execution. Check `tapid remove --help` on your installed binary before execution. The command does not provide a package safety verdict.
